Overview
The Priority Setting, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) Cell has been established in ICAR-ATARI, Zone-VI with the objective of research and frontline extension activities. This is an effective tool to assist research/frontline extension/agencies for priority-focused resource allocations, relevance, monitoring and evaluation of projects/activities, and accountability of the system.
PME was introduced through the National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP) in 1999 and subsequently through the National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) in 2006. It is an integrated approach incorporating the viewpoints of clientele, policymakers, researchers, and donors to attain societal goals.
Functions of PME Cell
- Publication of ICAR-ATARI and KVKs
- Maintenance and management of extension research project of ICAR-ATARI including RPFs
- Conducting IRC meeting
- Human Resource Development including training for extension personnel
- Technology Certification for ICAR-ATARI and KVKs
- Management of APR of ICAR-ATARI Guwahati
- MoU/MoA and collaborations with institutions/organizations
- MoU with host organizations of newly established KVKs
- Institutional Ranking
- Nomination of SMSs for different programs
- Arranging Parliament/Lok Sabha questions and addressing queries
- Oversee & reporting of flagship programs of GoI
- Preparation and publication of technology inventory for ICAR-ATARI, Zone-VI, Guwahati
